Introduction Shreem Electric Limited (Shreem), incorporated on January 2, 1976, in Kolhapur District of Maharashtra State, India, was one of the leading manufacturers of electrical and electronics power transmission equipments in the country. The company was involved in manufacturing a wide range of capacitors, circuit breakers, control & relay panels, lightening arrestors, and other measuring / monitoring devices. Shreem also provided turnkey solutions in the power transmission and distribution sector. With an annual turnover of Rs. 4650 million, Shreem had grown to become one of the major engineering procurement and construction companies from a mere power capacitor manufacturing company. The company had a large manufacturing base located in Kolhapur and project offices in most states across India. Shreem exported its products to 36 countries across the globe as of 2012. It had a market leadership position with 40% of market share in manufacturing high tension (HT) and low tension (LT) capacitors along with its established position in engineering, procurement, and construction contracts for the erection of sub-stations. |
